Assist and perform clerical duties related to Human Resources. Assist the Director of Human Resources and district office administration as needed.

5. Knowledge of and ability to maintain accurate employee records and files.
6. Knowledge of computer and related programs, i.e., Microsoft Office, Google Apps, HRIS Systems (TalentEd, Absence Management, etc).
7. Knowledge of the district, policies and its employees.
8. Knowledge of proper office conduct, customer service, and telephone procedures.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work cooperatively in a team setting.
10. Effective oral and written communication skills.
11. Bilingual skills preferred.
B. Education
1. High school graduate or equivalent; post-secondary degree preferred.
C. Experience
1. Demonstrated office / customer service skills.
2. Office / administrative assistant experience, preferred.
D. Equipment
1. Computer.
2. Copier/scanner/fax machine.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Support visitors or callers to the Learning Resource Center and provide answers and services requested.
2. Keep Human Resources administrators and team members advised on all matters of relevance.
3. Process coursework request for credit/reimbursement forms.
4. Track and monitor unemployment claims.
5. Serve as district representative for AEA Online Learning.
6. Assist with online new hire checklists and onboarding for staff.
7. Assist candidates and employees with the application process and online HRIS systems.
8. Assist with the development and maintenance of HRIS systems.
9. Assist with processing and monitoring applications and mandatory records (background checks, licensure, certifications, annual trainings, fingerprinting, etc.)
10. Assist with posting of vacancy notices.
11. Assist with special projects assigned by the Director of Human Resources or the Chief of HR.
12. Complete all safety training as required.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
