State of Iowa teaching license with K-12 Instructional Strategist II: ID endorsement required.  

 

Candidate will need to complete both written and physical components of Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) training provided by district upon hire.

 

Qualifications:
A. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  1. Knowledge of and enthusiasm to work with students at the designated level.
  2. Ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
  3. Ability to provide instruction to effectively meet the needs of all students.
  4. Ability to effectively implement multiple teaching methods (co-teaching, small group, differentiation, etc).
  5. Knowledge and ability to implement the Iowa Teaching Standards.
  6. Knowledge of special education, section 504 and MTSS process.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  8. Ability to effectively use technology for instruction, communication and data management.
  9. Ability to effectively engage in professional growth individually and with collaborative teams.
  10. Ability to implement federal, state and district goals with students.
  11. Knowledge of Federal, State and Department of Iowa regulations.
  12. Knowledge of Federal rights, Privacy Act and other civil rights regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Demonstrates effective implementation of the Iowa Teaching Standards.
  2. Meets district standards as set forth in the Certified Staff Professional Growth Model Guidelines.
  3. Perform all trainings as required.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.
